Ltd. and its group entities, sister concerns, subsidiaries, affiliates ("PolicyBoss") (also referred to below as "we", "us" and "our") is an IRDAI registered insurance broker and a conscious organization and is committed to protecting your privacy. This notice explains the data we collect from you (a) during your visit to our website - www.policyboss.com ("PolicyBoss Website"), (b) upon your visit to our mobile apps ("PolicyBoss App") or at the time of downloading, access, use of PolicyBoss App, (c) through our points of sales persons, motor insurance service providers, who act as certified insurance salespersons to sell insurance products to you ("Indirect Collection"), and (d) through any other mode of interaction with you.
By clicking on the "I accept" button at the end of this page/or clicking on the checkbox below, you agree to the collection, storing, maintaining, processing etc., of your personal data for the stated purposes as set out below and in accordance with terms of this notice. It be abundantly clarified that as a regulated entity/insurance broker, we are obligated by applicable laws (amended from time to time) to store, retain, maintain etc., the personal data, other information of your’s, customers, visitors, policyholders for a specified period of time (currently the applicable laws casts an obligation on insurance broker to maintain the same for a minimum period of ten (10) years or as per the extant legal requirements, applicable to the insurance broker, whichever is later (i) from the date of last transaction on the respective records, or (ii) from the date of expiry of the Policy).
PolicyBoss Website: We collect Personal Data ("PD") such as, name, age, gender, email, telephone number, and address. We may also collect additional PD like your lifestyle preferences, health in general etc., for the purpose of providing certain insurance related information, products, value added services etc.
PD Collected through Salesperson/Third Parties (Indirect Collection): We collect Personal Data ("PD") such as, name, age, gender, email, telephone number, and address. We may also collect additional PD like your lifestyle preferences, health in general for the purpose of providing certain insurance related information, products, value added services etc.
PolicyBoss Apps: When you download, install and register on the PolicyBoss App, we collect PD such as, name, age, gender, email, telephone number, address, photograph, PAN Card, address proof, education proof, bank account details, and other details as may be required to register as a point of sales person, motor insurance service provider in accordance with the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India’s (IRDAI) guidelines.
In addition, the PolicyBoss App transmits User’s Profile Information including Image, Phone Contacts and Call Logs with our middleware (https://horizon.policyboss.com) to enable My Profile, user’s personal information hub and Sync Contacts, a unique exclusive feature aimed at boosting overall productivity of user by showcasing agent’s customer and prospect information against synced contacts.
In pursuance of you providing your PD, you appoint us as your insurance broker for your PD to be used by us to provide you (i) information, knowledge in relation to the various insurance schemes, plans, policies, and related services, available in the market for your benefit; (ii) for completing our functions as insurance broker as your representative. We therefore use your PD in order to, (a) respond to queries and requests submitted by you; (b) facilitate orders or applications submitted by you; (c) use our best efforts in resolving any problems or issues in connection with the services provided by us to you; (d) offer products and/or services that may meet your needs; and (e) to carry out any obligation in relation to any agreement that you may have with us.
In particular, we and / or our authorized persons may use contact information such as email and telephone number to send you messages, emails and notifications in connection with your insurance plan, new products, promotions of related schemes, plans and policies which are offered by various insurers; provide, facilitate value added services.
We may also transfer your PD to various third parties, such as insurance companies, other service providers, our group entities, sister concerns, subsidiaries, affiliates etc., for the purpose of facilitating the insurance related services; for facilitating value added services by us, our group entities, sister concerns, subsidiaries, and business partners. Such third parties shall use your PD only for the purposes that we have agreed with them.

Save as provided herein above, you hereby provide your explicit consent to PolicyBoss and/or its authorized representatives to contact you (for providing information related to insurance products, services, offers, and updates; responding to your inquiries, service requests, and transactions; sending alerts, notifications, and reminders etc) via voice calls, SMS, WhatsApp, and other digital communication channels, through any telecom number, including but not limited to those not prefixed or prefixed with the 140 or 160 series, as issued by any of the telecom service provider(s), the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and/or any other appropriate authority. You acknowledge that such communications may be promotional, transactional, or service-related in nature and understand that this consent shall remain valid until you revoke it by providing written notice to PolicyBoss at privacy@policyboss.com.
